Louisiana's COVID situation continues to slowly steady on what medical leaders hope is the downward swing of the Delta Wave.
The state added fewer than 2,000 new COVID cases today and Lafourche has added 44 new COVID cases in the past two days.
But state hospitalizations continue to slowly tilt downward with 1,221 COVID hospitalized around the state. That is down from more than 3,000 at the peak of the Delta Wave.

Louisiana COVID patients on ventilators: 225 (10 fewer than Monday)
Region 3 COVID hospitalizations: 66 (6 fewer than Monday)
Region 3 COVID patients on ventilators: 10 (2 fewer than Monday)
In cases from Sept. 9-15, unvaccinated COVID patients accounted for:
-86% of COVID cases
-81% of COVID deaths
