A now-fired Port Fourchon Harbor Police Officer and a previously-convicted registered sex offender were arrested yesterday for internet crimes against children.

Attorney General Jeff Landry announced the arrests of Jason Plaisance, 47, of Galliano, and Everett Dillon, 33, of Golden Meadow.

Plaisance, a now-fired police officer, is faced with two counts of pornography involving a juvenile under the age of 13 (possession). This arrest is part of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.

Plaisance was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex

Dillon was arrested and charged with 120 counts of pornography involving a juvenile under the age of 13 (possession) and 22 counts of pornography involving a junveile under the age of 13 (distribution).

Dillon was arrested in 2014 by the Cyber Crime Unit and was sentenced to 5 years in prison. He was released this past January.

His new arrest is part of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, and the Golden Meadow Police Department. Dillon was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex.

"Crimes against children are heinous offenses that inflict life-long damage to their victims so my office will continue to bring child predators to justice, no matter who they are or where they hide," said AG Landry. "I appreciate the cooperation of the Port Fourchon Harbor Police Department and the work of our law enforcement partners to make these two arrests."
