In Louisiana, there are currently 299 COVID patients hospitalized. That number was 292 yesterday, a slight increase.
Today's increase aside, our COVID hospitalizations have rapidly dropped in recent weeks. At the peak of the third virus wave, there were near-2,100 hospitalizations. Today, that number has been slashed to its current figures.
The state has 47 COVID patients on ventilators. That number was 49 yesterday.
In Region 3, COVID hospitalizations dropped from 11 to 9. Patients on ventilators stayed flat at 1.
