Tuesday's COVID update continues the state's regression in the latest pandemic wave.
Louisiana added more than 6,700 COVID cases in the past day, continuing the state's regression in recent weeks in our pandemic fight.
The addition of 6,700 new COVID cases in one day is among our worst days in the history of the pandemic. Our hospitalizations also rose as the state continues to see a worsening situation in the Delta wave of the pandemic.
The state's positivity today exceeds 20% which is also an indicator of how poorly we are doing in this wave of the pandemic.
