H.L. Bourgeois will have a new football coach in the shortened 2021 season.
Multiple sources have confirmed to The Gazette that Tawaskie Anderson has resigned from his position today, just 1 week before the Braves were going to resume their 2021 football season after Ida.
Anderson was in his 2nd season at H.L. Bourgeois, but is reportedly moving out of the area after suffering damages from Hurricane Ida.
Sterling Washington will be the team's interim head coach for the season, which will begin next week.
The Braves were short on football coaches before Anderson's departure with several openings on their staff.
