The NFL Draft is still 24 hours away.
But it appears that the first pick is already in the books, and it's going to take one of LSU's best-ever players back to his home state of Ohio.
Multiple reports out of Ohio tonight say that the Cincinnati Bengals have called LSU National Championship quarterback and 2019 Heisman Trophy Winner Joe Burrow and have told him that he will be the No. 1 overall pick tomorrow night.
This comes as no surprise. Just about every mock draft in the 90 days has had the Bengals zeroed in on Burrow, a superstar prospect who is fresh off an absolutely dominant season in Baton Rouge where he led LSU to one of - if not the best ever - season in the history of the sport.
Bengals coach Zac Taylor appeared on ESPN this morning and said the team was impressed with "everything" about Burrow.
Last season, Burrow completed 76.3 percent of his passes for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns, winning just about every major award en route to the title.
Burrow is one of several LSU players expected to be picked during the draft.
