Thibodaux native Kyren Lacy continues to make a strong early impression on the Sun Belt Conference.
The Thibodaux High School graduate and UL-Lafayette receiver caught 2 passes for 57 yards and a touchdown in UL-Lafayette's 41-13 victory over Sun Belt rival Appalachian State on Tuesday – a game that was televised nationally on ESPN.
The local now has 12 catches for 167 yards and 2 scores this season for a Cajuns' offense that spreads the ball evenly around its receiving core. So far this season, UL-Lafayette has used 17 different pass catchers. Lacy is 2nd on the team with his 12 grabs.
The Thibodaux native ie one of the team's leading red zone threats due to his large frame and ability to withstand contact over the middle of the field.
